Update on 02/14/08 accident which I had witnessed. I told all that JB Hunt had a witness come forward on my behalf & exonerate me of all wrong doing & they were reversing their decision. Well, not so. This past week I found out as I applied with Crete Carrier that JB Hunt is now dragging their feet & as of this date, has not posted an update to my DAC. I have since contacted DAC for a rebuttle. I have contacted both Managers involved in said decision from JB Hunt, who informed me of this accident reversal. Mark S., JB Hunts Western Area Manager has not returned my calls & Jason H. told me it's probably because the accident is still being challenged in litigation without a final decision. He would not elaborate on how this effects me & the decision they had already made with regards to my DAC on 03/11/08.

Additional information regarding the state of affairs & status of PAM trucking operations. A good friend of mine & former load planner has informed me that not only is PAM in the process of rebuying all their stock options, they will be losing their two biggest accounts in GMC when they cease operations at one plant & shut down a second for an undetermined period of time.

After my team driver & myself shut down operations for the week of July 4th, I was inquiring with other trucking company's as to employment. I was informed by an insider at Prime that my employer Debbie B. is spreading dirogitory information about me tha I had abandonned the truck. Prime has since refused to consider me. Yes, I have an appointment with an attorney on Monday.

    Hello Everyone,

I am new to trucking, just getting my CDL's on July 7. My hubby is an OTR trucker for Summitt Trucking out of Indiana. We are strongly considering going with Covenant Transport due to the fact that they will let hubby train me. I have heard good and bad about this company. Could I please get some feedback, whether good or bad. Thanks.

I'm not a driver yet. But i have done many months of research trying my hardest to find the best company to start with as possible, so I am just going to go off of what I read and the consistancy of what I read. So from my research I would have to put CRST up there. And i have read some horrible stuff about swift too. I will never in my life work for Swift, Werner, or CRST.

Bet you didn't know Debbie has a brother. That would be me. I live in GA and I can tell you many more horror stories about the way my sister treated drivers than you can count. My father used to be a completely different man that he was for the last 15 to 18 years he lived. Debbie, her name in the family is Scooter, had a free hand in running the business since about 1990. She has always been very protective of her private gold mine. It's entertaining to find out that she has pretty much run the business into the ground. But, it's also sad because my father and I started it and it was an absolutely first class operation for about 8 years. I'm sorry that you had to spend such a critical part of your life around such a pathetic, greedy, and petty individual. When Bates Trucking was at its peak, about 20 years ago, it had 40 units, great drivers, a staff that understood who the real backbone of the business was and traded equipment about every four years or 450,000 miles, whichever came first. Everything was always top of the line. When the drivers called in with problems, they were ALWAYS talking to someone who had spent many hard years on the road in their shoes and who understood completely just what that driver was going through. Almost all of the time a driver called in with a problem, either dad or myself would be the one talking to them. We knew what was out there and how to use it to best benefit the driver.

We began with FedEx in March 1985 when it began as Roadway Package System. Dad pulled the first load the company dispatched. Our senior most driver at the time, not including dad, Pete, pulled the second load that RPS dispatched, and I pulled the third one. When RPS first started up, it was REAAALL interesting! Some day I'll share the story with you. The money and power that Scooter "thought" the business gave her really went to her head. She had single handedly torn our family apart.

On a different note, I can tell you a great deal about both PAM and Prime, as well as many other companies out there. Feel free to PM me.

Best of Luck to you, Have a safe ride!

    Scott

Hey driver, I can provide you first hand information about your situation with Bates Trucking and Debbie, (Scooter) placing false and damaging info about drivers on their DAC records. This is not anywhere near new for her. I'm her brother. Yea, yea, I already know that you most likely didn't know that she has a brother. I bacame the black sheep of the family when she decided to make sure that no one but here would reap the benefits of the trucking company. Never mind the fact that my father used a great deal of my money to get it started. If your attorney needs some serious background information, or if a potential employer needs to be able to assess the likely credibility of the info they get from Scooter, or her entry on you to DAC, let me know. By the way, be very glad that Prime doesn't want to look at you now. I can help you with advice on several good companies.

You can find my in the metro Atlanta area.

Best of luck and be safe,

    Scott

Mannmk7, I hope you won't take offence, but I can't accept your post except in parts where your spelling was correct. I hope you understand. Thank you. :)

I would like to add a small company out of Grand Rapids Michigan. Point Transport, This company is small and is one of the worst companies I ever worked for. If you like to run a lot of miles and not be paid this is the company for you. Bunch of shysters.
