Well from what I have been told, you would expect around 2800 miles and about 6 drop and hook fees at the moment, equals about gross $1272. That's an average some drivers do more and some less, I just got parked in Brandon will be home later, on the main computer tonight, ask away,,,,,,,,, the people on here can answer from there views, ,,,,,

    Yep.

This is only the second time in 16 months I haven't been home by at least Saturday afternoon.

I haven't had to reset on the road yet.

Typical schedule is out Monday morning home by late Friday night or mid morning Saturday or

Out Sunday sometime during the day home late Thursday night or during the day Friday.

Just depends on what's going on and it will alternate between those two periodically. Avg time at home for me is 42-44hrs.

Running late this week and getting in 0900 sun I'll be back on a tue-sun schedule for a week or two but then it'll get turned around back to weekends home.

I was thinking about applying for Houston ltl. An Ashley driver gave me a recruiters card and told me Houston ltl guys are usually home every other day. He showed me the truck and it was indeed real nice. He even said he was in the hospital for a month and they parked his truck, nobody else drove it. That's nice, I'm ##### sick of slip seating. He told me he makes 90k a year in the ltl.

I've been driving tankers last ten years. Don't know if that will hurt my chances. But my driving record is clean. I'm ready to get out of the oil field. It just keeps getting worse and worse with the oil price in the toilet.

    We'll see how it goes.

Depends on what you want and how much you want to work. And how good your vehicle control is lol

Ptp is no touch. Mostly d/h. We do some tight places but a lot of DC's too

Ltl is tailgate unload multi stop. Company stores, tiny strip malls, mom and pop furniture stores. Some with docks some not. They make more but they earn it. The other 2 guys can give better examples than me.

Still, we both do tight joints on a regular basis. I've got plenty of pics like these. Typical examples of places we go

    image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg

For the above, Back through the parking lot, through the employees cars, 90 into the gate, 90 into the dock, no room to work with lol

    image.jpeg

Blindside off a one way street into a dock with the bossmans car parked inside lol

Just another day at the office. But then unload too if you're ltl

Depends on how hard you want to work which is better for you

Don't know how that last attachment got in there lol it wasn't too bad

If any one here has been to some tight spots its been Flying - musician, he has seen his share, I on the other hand, have not, hand to do as much in the tight spots as him, I am mostly southern, and Midwest which is great--

I am ptp, which is drop and hook, and love it, like any trucking job you will have good days and bad.

I would say to go PTP why? a lot of them end up getting hurt, and they Ashley will put some pressure on u to get extra INS, to help cover that, and then if you want to think long term, the guys that do LTL for a long time, when they get older end up having some more problems if you know what I mean.

So if you can survive on about 72,000 a yr, PTP, if you need more at this time then LTL.

    Just my 2 cents worth.
