Get some good inserts for your shoes. Not the cheap foam ones. Get the kind that have a built in plastic arch support.

Yeah was thinking bout that. Probably time I kick off the boots and find something more supportive. Gonna jump on Cavenders page and order those Justin Chukkas I wore in high school.

I suffered with this for years. Tried all the inserts. Tried the expensive orthopedic shoes. Tried the boot that you wear at night. Tried just about anything someone suggested. Finally went to The Good Feet Store. When they told me the price, I about fainted. ($700 for 3 sets of inserts) Well I bit the bullet and figured I had spent more than that over the years on all the other snake oil treatments and inserts. Not to mention all the things I couldn't do anymore if it involved walking very much. I could barely walk into the store that day. Two days later, no more foot pain. I have had these for a year and a half now. THEY WORK GREAT ! Also, they have a lifetime warranty.

While I haven't tried those "the good feet store" inserts, my wife has. And she swears that they work very well. But I can't get past the 700 bucks! Just call me cheap. If I had more foot pain issues I'd tru them.

Adjust your sitting position. set the seat back so you are sitting with your spine in a straight line from your hips to your head. then lower the seat height so that you have no pressure on the back of your legs around the knee area. your knees should be just slightly higher than your hips when your feet are flat on the floor.
also look at your leg when having the brake and clutch pushed in, you should have a slight bend in your knee.

sounds like dumb little things. sitting in a manor that cuts down blood flow can cause these symptoms.

I should have listened to Hugh many years ago " quite hoping off those deck plates, swinging out of those cab overs and buy good shoes like these".
Medications, shots, exercises, ice for lunch and dinner are all things I am familiar with plus surgery.
When you sleep your feet straighten out and the tendons in your feet contract. Using a good five strap boot really cranked down helped me the most and no that is not pleasant either. As it was explained to me " if your foot is injured every time you take a step you are injuring it again".
Look at medications as only temporary relief that removes inflamation as the beginning of healing. If you do not stop doing what created the problem you have only cleaned out the house for some thing worse to come in. If the bottom of your feet and or back of your legs are stiff when you get out of bed or the truck stretch each leg for 10 seconds every time. Just my experience, I am not a doctor, and I wear different shoes every day. Thanks for everyone's input I will look into that.
Just reviewed and looked at wizard's link before posting but here it is anyway

I know there is nothing truckers do not know. However, if I was you I would get a second opinion from a doctor.

Have your Primary at the VA refer you to the VA Podiatrist. Once diagnosed with PF, they will give you the inserts. One new set every 6 months.
