Here is that video. I have delivered spices to a guy at a storage unit, but imagine a company using hot sheds to temporarily store meat for later in the day!

I just started working for sysco baltimore about a month ago. Long days as everyone had said but it seems thats any local job. Money is good but as long as you stay organized on your truck work isnt that hard. It is more lumping than driving i will agree to that, but a lot of free food too which is a plus

I watched that video and that was brought up at our last safety meeting at GFS. The health department got Sysco real good on that and it used to be the health departments did not pay close attention to us in food service at all and Sysco pretty much put the whole industry on the map with that. GFS is actual real good about it. In fact our warehouses are very different because the docks are designed so you do not have to open your doors up at all before backing up to the dock. Literally you back the truck into the dock and the warehouse people can open the doors up from in side the warehouse pretty cool, really that way everything stays put and all enclosed really cool. I was waiting for someone to bring up that video. Sysco got fined really good for that.

That is just the tip of the iceberg for a lot of shady practices in the transportation and logistics industry. Good for those employees who fought the giant and won.Canned Spam Thanks this.
