Crazy things seen/heard on the road

I took Tha rear door housing off the last trailer I loaded there because it was overweight and I needed to be legal.

I had planned on coming back for it but the box planners insisted I drop my empty 87 miles out of route in the wrong direction up hill both ways with only 1 shoe on and nothing to eat.

I did a dvir with no defects detected though.

 

Dang......why do they always have to break the new ones......

 

I'm flabbergasted I have yet to see a four wheeler merge properly but get a chuckle when the merge lane is a quarter mile long and at the start of the merge they throw themselves on the shoulder as an act of surrender...if possible I try to free up the turtle lane to let them in but at times it's just not practical

 

OMFG! The exact same thing happened to me but at a little truck stop off 99 in CA. I woke up in the middle of the night to a train horn. I continue to lay in bed and I can hear the train getting closer and closer, louder and louder. Than I can actually feel my truck start to vibrate from the oncoming train while it continues to blast the horn. In my half asleep / half awake daze I suddenly panicked thinking "oh ####, I parked on the ####ing tracks". I jumped out of bed, opened my door, and leaped out of my truck wearing nothing but my underwear.

I then fully awoke and realized that the tracks were just extremely close to the truck stop. Jumped back in my truck and went back to bed. Luckely it was pitch black outside, no street lights, and in the middle of the night,so nobody saw me.

 

I'd be careful pulling those Great Dane trailers. Apparently their welders don't know how to weld the frame correctly and your ### could fall off at anytime.
