I don't remember a specific warning but I do remember overspeed percentage on my Qualcomm. I forgot what percentage generated a warning.

My truck runs just as fast as I want it to run. Most days I only want it to run 60-63 mph. I just set the cruise and watch all the truckers who seem to always be in a rush go past me three or four times in a row.
-
I run an ungoverned truck now after a couple of years running at 62 mph with a 67 max speed allowance. It's night and day now, allowing the truck to gain speed on downhills. I set the cruise at about 70-72 mph on freeways and highways in OK and TX, then give it a boost to get ahead of slower trucks more quickly if I'm passing.

Why do companies govern there trucks ?
-
Yeah im stuck at 62...I have been getting into way more dangerous situations since they lowered it from 65. Ny, Nj and Pa is not the place to be neutered. Defensive driving is key but you must be aggressive when it calls for it and 62(actually 60-61) is just down right a hazard.
-
Mostly for better fuel mileage safety reasons and micromanage there drivers.
-
No good safe reason at all. It's called greed
-
Well let me clarify.....66 to 70 bc they want to compete. But 64 or lower....greedVincent2254 Thanks this.
