It's when the days become a daze and everything runs together. They all run together and you can't separate one from another. No I know nothing about it just read about it on a trucking forum.

18 hours give or take, unsure of miles. The day started in Scranton, and involved a drop / hook near Philly, two LTL live unload deliveries in NYC, drop empty trailer in Kearny, NJ, bobtail to pick up another driver and his loaded trailer (truck broke down) in Bordentown, NJ, return to NYC for a live unload of his trailer, then back to Scranton with his MT. The other driver took over driving when my 14 was up (he started his day later than I did), but I had to ride along as on-duty for all but the last two hours because e-logs.

That's only 9 hours. What do you do with the rest of the day?

You sir, are a criminal. I salute you.

Years ago, delivered a load on a Friday to Wellsville, NY. No load offers. "Great. Looks like I'm stuck in NY for the weekend." Saturday morning, got a load offer from Whitehall, Pa to Baytown,Tx for stupid money. "I'll take it!" There was no address, no contact info...nothing. I called weekend dispatch. Some numbskull who doesn't know anything answers the phone and tells me that I will have to wait until Monday morning. Fine! I went to the local billiard club and shot a little 9 ball. Get back to the truck at 10pm and there were 25 messages that went like, " Oh God, driver...GO GET THAT LOAD!"

    You have to be kidding!

I still don't have an address or any info. Call night dispatch, and some numbskull who knows nothing answered the phone. " Don't know what to tell you. You're going to have to wait until Monday when your dispatcher....wait...wait...wait. Call this number. A driver broke down and this load has to be sitting in Baywtown 0700 Monday.

I call the driver. He's a numbskull too. He's sitting in a motel and he doesn't seem to know how to plug his phone in. I learn that his truck broke down and they took it to Cat in Whitehall, PA.

I hammer down. Get to Whitehall at 0500 Sunday, grab the load, securement and all and boogity boogity. Fuel up in Wythville, backed the logs up to make it look as if I loaded Saturdays Whitehall and made it to Wythville. The next time I stopped was at that TA east of Meridian, MS. The next time I stopped was 0645 Monday morning, Baytown, TX. It really was a hot load. It almost felt. Like a parade. They were so glad to see me.

Told the travel agent that I was going into a coma and that I would call when I returned from the land of the dead.

Here's the clincher: 2 weeks later, I receive notification that my logs does not match the GPS of the Qualcomm and that I needed to fix my logs. Okay.....? My travel agent notifies me that I am suspended until I fix the logs. I check into a motel in Mexico. My travel agent calls me 4 days later wonder when I was going to return to work. I told her that I was suspended and so couldn't return to work, she asked me why couldn't I fix the logs, and inform her that you can't run from Wellsville, NY to Whitehall, PA, to Baytown Texas in26hours. The logs I turned in were "fixed".

Ours was only 655 miles, but we went from Shauck, Ohio to Marengo, Ohio to pick up the tractor and tank, then went to Toledo to load asphalt, then to Auglaize county to pump off into COUNTY trucks (road coaters) and had to WAIT until they used what they had and could pump off more, then BACK to Toledo (Shelly plant) to get MORE asphalt for these hilligans (LoL) and "repeat." Then, back to Marengo to drop truck/trailer, and go home in Jeep. 18 hours, and a lot of shredded paper. Midnight to 6 pm, then back out at midnight. Almost a do-over. Glad I've found a better job! #### those upcoming E-logs for this O/O I worked for . . . ya think?!?
