US 287 closed

They opened the westbound lanes up this afternoon. Eastbound lanes later in the evening. Now they've blocked off eastbound again.

 

le grande, or. EB got shut down today. Thanks to england jack knifing. chain law was up last night.

What should you do.....drive off into the unknown or shutdown and do a ten hour brake until the snow storm passes and the salt shakers and plows have time to make a trail.

 

wave north I live 20 miles from there. temps should reach the 60s today I think it should be open by 10 am or so. I am suppose to be in goodland ks this am....but I am sitting here drinking coffee waiting for the sun to poke its head out.

 

I fought the snow and wind in KS yesterday, got to Haigler NE and had dry roads. Coming up 27 it was blowing me all over with my empty wagon.

If you're in Burlington sometimes they don't barricade the old highway if you want to head east.

 

I was surprised at Monument being closed yesterday and chain laws...the chain station wasn't plowed either. Way to go CO DOT.
