Kind of a dumb question maybe but I'm thinking of working as company driver and selling my truck. I lease on to a company and would have to break my lease and hand in my plates. If I have a problem where I park and have to move it am I up tge proverbial creek as they say? Or is it common to get a temp? Am I stuck with selling my truck before I start working as a company driver? I'm just looking for how experienced O/O's deal with this dilemma. Thanks.

I'm not an experienced OO, but the way I see it is that if you sell your truck to someone else, the sale also moves the issue of transportation of that truck to the buyer. Unless you advertise 'will move to your location' in your ad, it's not your problem.
If you need to move the truck to another parking area in the interim, that is your problem. And technically, you would need to have it towed or hauled to the new space, or get temp registration and temp insurance. If you can't really afford the tow bill, you may have to do what you have to do.
As far as legal temporary permits, akin to a dealer/temp tag for a car, that varies by state. And it varies widely. Temp insurance is easy to get, but the cost will make sure you supply your own lube.jyhm Thanks this.
