I have been watching for awhile and feel the need to respond to this. I don't know exactly who you are referring to, Evomalo, but you couldn't be more wrong.
Over the years, Pete, Panhandle and myself have done our best to encourage, support and help new drivers in our own way......including you, Evomalo. We tried to make this thread into something special ....a place of honesty and online friendship. We tried to give a pat on the back and a kind word when it was needed.....and a kick in the rear when it was warranted. Sometimes folks didn't like what we had to say but always realized that we were speaking from experience and a place of truth. If we were wrong we admitted it and owned up to it.
The fact that our thread could be hijacked by .....well, good manners and the mods forbid me to use the word I am thinking, so we will leave it as a person with no practical OTR experience,... that gave up on 2 OTR jobs and had a number of local jobs....and not a one of the drivers that we had helped over the years had the cojones to stand up and say there is something wrong with this picture. On the one hand, you have a sarcastically funny and cranky driver that has helped many many drivers and on the other hand, you have a quitter that thought he knew more than anyone else...and know one called him on it.....and worse than that, many seemed to enjoy and encourage the drama.
No, it wasn't over-sensitivity, it is simply disgust and an awakening to the real truth. There was no appreciation and no integrity or friendship. Our efforts were wasted.
dennisroc, you know where to find me if there is anything I can help you with.
Any of the rest of you that need help with something, I will be happy to answer what I can....just send me a PM.Big Papaxx and dennisroc Thank this. -
HTQ I don't understand why people get excited over what someone else says on here. I say if it's not a close friend or a family member who cares. I would say just let it go and move on. I do understand that can be easier said then done though.
I have been more active on here recently. Mainly because im bored. I've been out of work since last month. I did say however might as well lock the thread since you and Cranky have disappeared.HometimeQueen Thanks this. -
Mostly, Evomalo, it is because we do care about the people we help. We form connections.....a network of folks that all of us should be able to rely on. That is what set this thread apart, it wasn't just a bunch of faceless names that no one gave a rat's behind about. Without that, the thread loses the heart that made it so special.

Htq....I think everyone with (and don't take this the wrong way ) a haLf of brain could see the cow manure certain people were saying......but the problem is that they believe it too

Well lets get back to what this thread is about trying to help each other. Let's not let one fight or argument end this great thread.
I will continue to post here.
I haven't been too informative in a while. So I'll start now. I drive for Hirschbach now. I was with TA for a little over a year and a half. They gave me a second chance. I did have success there but I was experienced when I went there. I have leased with other companies and will say their lease is tough to make it if you don't live in a major lane and have no experience. One mistake there can screw you.
My needing a second chance was a roll over. I picked up a loaded sealed trailer of paper rolls that was not properly secured. I was doing 35 in a 45 mph curve when the load shifted and a roll of paper hit the side. I was cleared by the DOT, police and insurance company of fault but it doesn't matter most companies won't hire even with years of safe driving cause 95+% of the time a rollover is a drivers fault. This is an unfair industry before anyone gets into they have to understand that first. I could have thrown my hands in the air and quit but I looked and found Trans Am. They saved my career. I will be forever grateful for that.
HTQ come back and get Pete back. Let's get this thread back to where it once was. We can do it.jungHo, dennisroc and Crazy driver1972 Thank this. -
Good post jaso...how are things at hirschbach...I've heard good things but looking at fb posts...looks like another otr company
jaso37 Thanks this. -
Jaso37 I have a lousy memory but I thought you worked at Cranky's company now.
jaso37 Thanks this. -
HTQ , Jaso , Flash , Cranky , Passport , George , JungHo etc......
I have been coming to this thread for over 2 years and this thread belongs to all of you. I'm sure I missed a few names but I have enjoyed all the friendship on here and hate to see it go away for something as silly as one or two people getting you all upset , you are all bigger and better than that.
I have got a lot of info on here over the last few years and it has helped me learn a lot about trucking.
I will be checking in now and then and hope to see you all back on here !
Have a great day

That company wasn't a good fit for me. Sometimes what works for one driver doesn't work for another.
