Im traveling E on I 40,near the border of New Mexico and Texas, early morning just after rush hour is over.
I notice a car,in my mirror, looks like normal texting while driving incident, driver starting to drift, toward the center shoulder.
He not only drifts, toward the shoulder,he's driving in the grassy area seperating west and eastbound lanes.
He isnt slowing down, hes picking up speed, towards me.
He then swerves back into the east bound lanes, and onto the right shoulder, then onto the grassy area,on the right.
This whole time,Im waiting for the dude,to roll his Subaru, and I have nothing to do but stay on course, since Im traveling at my top speed.
Finally guy gets stopped.
An hour later,he passes me again.and granny is enjoying a nap,in the passenger seat.
Wonder if she's dead,or just slept through the whole ordeal.
Guy obviously fell asleep, with cruise control engaged, never tried using his brakes, until he was ready,to kiss my dot bumper.
One lucky guy.
Old dude needs new shorts

I think your dumb driver takes the cake. The worst thing I saw this week was on Southbound I-5: someone decided that the shoulder made a better lane than the two available. I followed him until he was out of sight, at least ten miles. I tried flashing my lights, honking, but he just didn't understand...
I know the 5 is more like offroading, on some stretches, but for ####'s sake, the shoulder is where all the crash debris gets swept up on!Pure.Genius Thanks this. -
Looks more like one dumb schidt to me. . .(but then, I'm a cynic.)

Actually, if you happened to be in Oregon, this appears to be not only STUPID, but QUITE NORMAL. . .
Pure.Genius Thanks this.
