They take the last X number of drivers who have loaded there, add up the total time they were there, divide it by X then round up to the nearest hour.

Lets pretend for a moment you are right, IDK, maybe you have some info I don't, but, if you are right, you are gonna call the CS manager an idiot, because they were forced to take over the times because DRIVERS weren't sending in the appropriate times? Sounds like idiot drivers caused the switch, no? -
The hotel they use up there is pretty decent, there is breakfast there and they probably are still giving you guys box lunches, dinner on your own.
Oh, and bring a pair of boots with you unless you want to be forced to buy theirs.White_Knuckle_Newbie and IronRyan Thank this. -
IronRyan Thanks this.

but its a positive sacrifice that I'm willing to make.
Quick question, just doing research, it says that tanker/hazmat truck drivers make an estimated $65k a year. I'm thinking that's top tier and I could clear $55k should be more realistic. I'd like to see the glass half empty in this regards. Can someone give me some insite on what could be a ballpark figure for the first 2 years as a hazmat/tanker driver!?
I'm running regional, Monday through Friday @ .32 cents a mile and I think $15 dollars a load. I'm guessing this is pretty low due to my inexperience. -
Hmmmmmmmm, seems this Amazon load that I'm supposed to pick up in Reno NV at 0400 today and take to Newark CA by 1045 has been cancelled by the shipper The load that made it so I only went 190 miles yesterday and had to get up and ready at an ungodly hour this morning. The load I chose to do and not complain to my dbl about as I knew the only reason I got it was because no other drivers were gonna be able to cover it. So I took it for the team.
But hey, at least customer service was kind enough to notify me before I started my day and headed over there. I also get to sleep in to my usual hours now. So glad I decided to stay at the Petro in Sparks rather then outside the shipper like I was going to. Time to get undressed and go back to sleep -
Yay for me! Finally got a preassignment and it doesn't pick up until 11/23 at 0900 in Sparks. No miles today on top of the 190 miles yesterday, on top of the 390 miles the day before. Gonna do wonders in my pay check.

27 miles from my house, thinking I'll just deadhead over there.
