Uber driving

I use Uber all the time and usually strike up a conversation with the driver because most of them are curious about trucking so it's an easy way to start talking. Most of them have told me they make pretty good money doing airport runs...being in Houston with 2 airports certainly helps...but I imagine a college town would be highly profitable as well

I'm going to buy an Elio and use it for Uber. 84 mpg that Elio Motors car gets.

There's several horror videos about drunks and uber drivers doing battle.

 

What I'm wondering is if those late model Mercedes S classes and Audi A8's with livery plates are driven by O/O drivers or if they're limo company vehicles? If they're owned by the drivers then those guys must make great money to afford cars like that for work.

I pushed a cab around the Phoenix metro area for a few years when I needed to be home. Averaged $800 week, sometimes as much as $1,500.
But then there's the drunks. And many of them are really obnoxious. Had few BARF all over the back. Some pass out cold.
I also thought it would be a great way to meet girls. And it is, to a degree.
You also very quickly realize why 90% of the people taking a cab, are doing so, because for psychological or physiological reasons, they can't even obtain a regular driver license.
I think if your more of a predatory type person you would probably enjoy it.
And yes I carried a piece. We're allowed to carry concealed here.
