NOT gonna argue with ya at all....but of all the 'veteran employees' I've met OR personally know here.....I have been told the same thing time and time again...EPES was great until they became a 'starter company'. I've def had my problems here....2 people on this forum can account for that....but, in reality I have nothing but experience to show from here. Yes, I get home every week! Yes, I'm actually having the best weeks I've EVER had here(miles and paywise)....but with a newborn, a 7 year old, and a wife who lives in a 2 bedroom townhouse.....I need to make more money and take care of my family in a modern way....meaning 70-90k being away from home. I can get 2 jobs and make what I'm making here....at 42cpm! I know you don't see EPES as a 'starter company' but in all honesty, they have become one and have been one for a few years now....just ask Flying! I've been here almost 4 years and I was new when I started! SDaniels was here for over 10 years, and when he started you had to have a minimum of 3 years experience. But yes, you ARE right when it comes to being better than Werner, Schneider,PAM,USA,Swift(cough, cough) lol pretty much the best starter company on the EC!

Yep went to walmart and loving it here. One hundred percent legal. No more getting woke up just to move trailer in a dock. No more getting phone calls asking for favors. There are many reasons I moved on. Epes is still one of best when it comes to truck load carriers. The truck load industry as a whole just sucks. LoL. I will agree with Epes being a starter company. The reason I say that is now they need so meny trainers that you don't need much experience to become one.

yeah....like around this past May, I had to relay a load for a guy in Jackson, going to Fort Worth! He was a trainer with only 1 YEAR EXPERIENCE! Sheesh, I got more than him. He kept on begging me to call the company and letting him and his new 'trainee' finish the run out. I just said, I'm just doing what they need me to. So get about 45 minutes down the road, and this bonehead calls up dispatch and said I was drinking and drunk! So I came upto the scale house on I20(LA) they were open....I pulled in and took a breathalizer. Had the officer call dispatch and verify I was sober as a bell......then let safety have a mouthful that morning! Don't think he's here anymore, saw his truck in Ft. Worth this morning, and a woman was driving it. Asked her how long she had it, said it was a loaner for her, has been for a few months now, said she HEARD the driver that had it was let go!

Can anyone give the company name that EPES uses on the Qualcomm website? Trying to download my logs to my computer for tax purposes. Thanks in advance.

and once again...second time in 2 weeks I run into SUSAN being at work! This morning it took 2 HOURS between my 'finding an MT freeform message' to being dispatched on my 2 preplans I got on Friday early afternoon......oh well.....when I was loaded(which once I got MT, I waited 10 minutes, which is how long it'll take to get load assignment, needed fuel badly, nothing! Stopped at a fuel stop of ours and filled up.....then left on a 70 mile MT trip...took an hour an a half...RED LIGHTS!!!!! HAHA), I sent in everything....I just don't understand how people that DON'T DO THEIR FREAKING JOB get to keep it? With the holidaze(yes I said daze and not DAYS haha) coming up, looks like my pursuit of a new job is on hold. Seems all the companies are NOT hiring right now....they ALL say it'll be around the first of the year. I still have a job, that's the good news.....but after all my studying and FINALLY obtaining my fully endorsed CDL, I'm just ready to move on! ESPECIALLY after the week I've had here! lol

Well after being employed with EPES for 93 days and being falsely diagnosed for sleep apnea at their POS clinic, I realized is just another typical OTR trucking company. I was trying stick it out till the 1st of the year but couldn't hang. Enough was enough. I had more bad weeks than good. I left two weeks ago today because their POS doctor wouldn't recertify my medical card because i missed 2 days on the CPAP machine. I only had a week left. I couldn't deal with these a---holes anymore
