Yep, defeated by spellcheck "piece=license"....
Talked to lawyers, not big enough case I guess.... Judge was pretty lenient with regular license but CDL holders were getting the brutal end of the stick...

It's not a state law it's a FMCSR's requirement. You can find the regulation in table 2 column 2 of 383.51 of the little green handbook.

Interesting, I cant even pull a 15 year MVR record at the DMV so how can anyone else? If they have information from that far back why cant I get the same information?
I was going to swap my address from my homestate to Texas to avoid state tax but now I'm rethinking that. Dont think I have more than 2 tickets total in 15 years but hell i cant check that far back. Best DMV offers is 7 year report. -
I read the section, I missed the part where it said a state can go back 15 years and take it upon themselves to re-judge charges that were issued and closed by LE and Judges in other jurisdictions. Buy that logic you could move to a state and they could just decide that your guilty of some stuff that was dismissed in another state! I don't think so. Seems the Judge in TX saw it that way since he dismissed it. Don't forget a cop can choose to charge you with a State level offense or the FMCSA reg violation, which is probably what happened in his old state which is why that chart never kicked in.
