There are good trainers here. There are also miles here. I've been hard on them over pay issues, but there are good weeks and this one came with a brutal schedule, so I'm happy with a first reset in over a month worth of driving. I finally get the recap idea. Looking forward to plenty of miles with this el nino weather pattern keeping the winter moderate. So the latest cross country lap was Albany, NY - Avon, NY to Phoenix, to Carson, CA- Cheyenne Wyoming, Lexington, NE- Buffalo, NY to Murfreesboro, Tn - Houston.

Stevens is a truck driver training company that as part of that delivers freight. The training company comes first, the delivering of the freight is a by product. It maybe difficult to comprehend but they would have to change the entire way they do business if they stopped training. They only need experienced drivers to train the noobies, if you consider a driver with 1 year under his belt as experienced. I give Stevens trucks a little more time and distance knowing who is behind the wheel. Other training companies too. Not slamming the new guys, we all started somewhere, we were all in their shoes at one time.

After watching the news, reading the papers and cursing the dark...it suddenly dawned on me this morning...I better start learning to speak Syrian so I will be able to communicate with the new trainees we can expect.

Well maybe Stevens can start a " covered wagon" division and call it Syrian Transport. They can haul all the Syrians from Ellis Island straight to Dallas for orientation.

Importing and driving with Syrians will be playing Russian roulette.
I saw recently that trainers need 75000 miles and ten months solo now to start training. I could start the classes around March/April.
Recently checked out Haz Mat loads out bound from the Southeast, and liked what I heard, only have to figure what goes into the area to make it some type of dedicated routes for myself provided that I can get the haz mat endorsement while home.
