DOT scheduled inspection

    Have any of you drivers ever have your company that you're leased with call and tell you that DOT wants you to drive to a scale and receive a inspection. My dispatcher called me and said they have a 1015 and 1030 appointment for inspection. Kind of got irritated by that. I've never heard of this happening, is this a new thing DOT is doing?

    I've heard of guys going in for voluntary inspections to get their inspection stickers on the equipment.
