6 x 2sc2879 should be good for 180 watts carrier AM or 720 watts peak per Toshibas data sheet.

In the CB world everybody has their own theories......some good some bad.
Personally i don't like the idea of long jumpers.....this is just me! -
Yeah, I kinda thought it sounded high. For what I got in the amp I'd be happy with around 7 or so output. Lol. What's your thought on long jumper wires. What kinda problems do we run into on these?
-
I agree. To me in this particular case, short is better in my opinion. In the case of "other" subjects, I've been told long is better. Lol
-
Another thing that i don't like with the amplifier is the multiplication of connexions.
Antenna to amp, amp to radio....i have use ferrite in the past to reduce loss...
I guess this is too much problems for me, maybe i'm getting lazy... -
Cable length Is critical when using amps with imperfect input impedance as the above video shows.Ougigoug Thanks this.

Most "technicians" fail to grasp the concept.
Ougigoug Thanks this. -
So I'm gonna need to figure out where to mount my amp and radio close to each other. That was my fear, but I'll think of something.Last edited: Nov 27, 2015

I don't understand your fear I used to mount mine under my bunk
-
Not fearing honestly, just dreadding it. I want to keep it close to my cb, but want outta the way. The general consensus says keep the radio close to the amp. 3 foot jumper sounds like it works best. Otherwise I did wanna put it in or under my bunk. What's your opinion?
