Well that game was a #### show. Both teams were pretty pathetic, but I'll take the Bears win any way they can get it.
Happy Thanksgiving

UGH, I can't even think about eating,,,, well, maybe just a few leftovers,,, mmmm, leftovers. I agree, it was painful to watch, but we love our Packers, win or lose.
truckon Thanks this. -
What parta Wisconsin, @"semi" retired? I'm up in the up in escanaba. And yeah, love em win or lose. I've been talkin so much smack about the packers over the years that it's painful when they lose the next day with all the texts I get from lions and beArs fan friends lol

I hope you all had a nice thanksgiving and the drivers on the road hope you had a nice meal at the Pietro or another nice truck stop. It may have been nothing like home cooking but its something.
G13Tomcat, truckon, scottlav46 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Hi scottlav, currently, I live in Phillips, but have been in the Badger all my life. Aside from the Packers, Wisconsin is a miserable place, ( #1 in the country for drunk driving) and have always liked the UP ( der hey) much better. I've been to Keweenaw area ( Houghton/Hancock) and Copper Country many times, and the history of that area fascinates me. Did you know, they pulled like 5 BILLION lbs. of copper out of there, and like 90% is still down there, but they can't get to it (costs more to get it than it's worth) And that iron mine in Palmer, near Marquette , WOW) Lake Superior is awesome ( they don't call it Superior for nothing). I used to deliver eggs ( from L.Mills,Wis) to the UP, and had several stops in Escanaba. Busy area, Iron Mtn. too( those were long days, but I loved going up there, and made good money, log books be darned) I'd love to "run the clock out" up there, hopefully. ( when I'm "fully" retired next year)Last edited: Nov 27, 2015
truckon and scottlav46 Thank this. -
Right ON daddy-o! You ain't wrong about the keweenaw. I lived up there for a while, my sis is still at the head of the bay in lanse we are headed up there later today. Didja ever read about the big calumet Italian hall disaster on Xmas eve many years ago? For some reason that story has always stuck with me.
I feel the same way about the up... Freight lanes stink up here so I gotta drive to Green Bay to catch a load but the fishing is great, lots of food to shoot if you ever get hungry, and my daughters school is awesome.
Look forward to seein ya up here when you're ready to run out the clock bro! -
I haven't heard of that, but speaking of Calumet, I was in a motel in Calumet ( while renting 4 wheelers for the weekend, awesome trails, and snowmobile, BEST riding EVER,) the hallway was lined with vintage photos of the past, mostly winters, and some of the pictures were incredible. In one, similar to this link, showed some men standing on top of a RR boxcar, shoveling around a transformer on top of a pole. WOW. And the light houses, fascinating those people lived there, cut off from the world for months at a time. Amazing place. Want some fun? Visit the "Yoopers Tourist Trap" in Ishpeming. I guarantee, you'll LYAO!!!

Yeah the off roadin is pretty bada$$ up that way. And I totally hear you on the lighthouses. If you ever get on the big lake to go fishin, head out to stannard rock. Now THATS a crazy lighthouse. Back in the day they had to assign three keepers cuz if there were only two out there they'd kill each other literally loltruckon Thanks this.
