If your thinking of flatbed? Melton is a great company as well
Kenai Thanks this. -
SNI Bulk requires 3+ months driving experience in our area right now. I'm in North Jersey. I'm not sure what school you are using but if they don't have test dates reserved with the MVC, do yourself a favor and get yourself a date ASAP. The waiting list is currently 5+ months if you are doing it on your own. Also get the TWIC while you're getting screened for Haz Mat. It's another $128 but you're gonna need it if you want to pull tanks eventually.
Kenai Thanks this. -

My date for the road test is in early January. I am right by the Bloomsbury. Thanks for the heads up on the TWIC.
I got a month to kill, before I can go to the training at Carlisle, so I will get my TWIC, and my passport updated as well. -
Going with SNI? or did you work someplace else before?

Never drove professionally before. Have driven pumpers and tankers for the local fire company, dump trucks on site, tree service vehicles, landscape trailers, but this will be a brand new gig for me.Lightside Thanks this.

Start practicing for the heart rate test at Schneider Bulk. Brisk walking and stair step excercise.Kenai Thanks this.

I am hiking up the little mountain right in my back yard which goes up 550 feet in elevation, looking for buck sign. I will start jogging again. Thanks for the heads up about the cardio requirements. Do you know what is required for the test?
-
Doing all that, you shouldn't have any problems. There's a thread on here somewhere a driver posted about the cardio test; maybe it's on the Schneider thread. The sedentary smokers will have the problems.Kenai Thanks this.
