MVR/DAC/H6

MVR is your Driving record as maintained by the State you are licensed in... All tickets, accidents etc.

DAC is similar to a credit report. It is maintained by Hirerite and companies that subscribe can get use it. You past Employers (Trucking) can report things on it. Usually it's adverse.

Never heard of an H6

There is another report called a PSP maintained by DOT that is availible and it records your CSA Score and any DOT reportable accidents

 

Three I believe....but you can easily google it.

 

In Delaware you can get it as far back as you want, but standard is three years because that's how long points last. Can't speak for all States.

 

Along with the tbreey years I think some motor carriers go back further depending what's on your MVR.some companies won't hire if you have a reckless less then five years old.I would say some of the better companies go back further then three years.but most the carriers go back three.

 

H6 is 10 years. You have to wait 3 years before having it purged.

MVR is the same as H6

 

I know certain states you can pull your mvr as far back as the record goes. Employers only care about 3-10 years.

 

I think people have misconceptions about MVR/DMV records kept by the states. Violations never come off the database. What happens is the violations get so old they are not released after 3/5/7 years depending on the state and how much is paid. I once had an insurance company get my Georgia MVR going back ten years and mailed me a copy of it when I asked for it. However the violations are part of the record and can be found and recorded if the situation (generally a court action) requires. DAC is like a credit report in a lot of ways and in some ways its not. DAC keeps up with employment history, reports of accidents, drug testing results, and things like moving violations. The thing about DAC that has always bugged me is they keep up with company inquiries. I know a guy that got called in to explain to his boss why Crete was asking for his DAC report about 4 weeks before. Between DAC and the insurance companies you can't hide much these days.
