I believe the 06 and 07 379 model Petes had the mirrors mounted on the cab. Then in 08 the Petes switched to the 389 model and the headlights changed to the newer style.

By the way, nice looking truck OP. Looks like it was well takin care of and motor should last a long time.

I'm not 100% sure either but I'll have to search on the Internet to see when the mirrors changed lol.

You were right sliver in 2004 they moved the mirrors to the cab and went away with the vent window post.

Thought I read you have a couple dump trucks already? What's your plans for the new Pete pulling a dump trailer with it or going to get into 'normal' freight?

Looks nice, although, being "old school" I'd lose the "singles". Perfect for "around town". Looks like the rear suspension may be set a little high, and while it looks pretty ( Arrow always seems to have clean units) make no mistake, it's got a lot of miles. Electrics are what I always worry about with high mileage trucks. I'm a huge Pete fan, and I say, why buy a Freightshaker or Volvo, when you can have this. Best of luck.

I do have two dump trucks. One single axle non CDL and a kenworth tandem. I am trading the single axle in on the Pete.

The Pete is primarily for pulling my own heavy equipment to jobsites that range from 2-500 miles away. It is more stuff lengthwise than I could really haul on a pintle trailer behind the dumps and my kenworth isn't really a highway machine. It is a good ol truck but needs tinkering with on a regular basis and never goes more than fifty miles from home.

I may look into putting a wet kit on and getting a belly dump at some point or doing some contract hauling with the flatbed that I am going to buy but right now the main use is moving my own stuff around.

I have been all setup for intrastate authority but not interstate. I went ahead and filled out the forms for my MC number a while ago just in case. It wasn't that bad as I already have the insurance, dot number, UCR in place.
