Great looking truck, although personally I'mnot a fan of having the stacks on both sides of the work area...
"So, how do like your truck? Isn't it a bit loud?"
"WHAT!!??"
"I said, ISN'T IT A BIT LOUD?"
"WHAT??? YOU GOTTA STOP MUMBLING!"
Well I pulled the trigger on a truck

What type of weight are you going to be hauling? What's the axle rating? Steers and drives, The C13 (IMO) not ideal for heavy haul, I've seem other use trucks set up like this one and they become money pits due to the weight the truck is not set up to pull,is a nice looking truck

Truck has 12,000 pound front and 40,000 pound rear axles. the weights I will be primarily hauling which is my own equipment will be 25,000 pounds or less. Obviously if I get the belly dump or if I start hauling things for others the weights will likely go up. Heck for the first year I am considering registering the truck for 54,999 pounds to avoid 2290 tax because I seriously doubt I will ever be heavier than that in the beginning

Is it worth giving up that flexibility in case an odd load comes up over saving $550?
Rock 'n Roll Relocater Thanks this. -
Happy to hear you found a rig. I wish you the best of luck.

You bring up a good point and I have thought about it. Is actually over $1000 once you figure in the difference in registration cost for the weight.
The thing is I bought this truck basically for the sole purpose of moving my own equipment around. I'm likely going to be welding some things on my trailer to make it better suited for my purposes and I don't know how well it will work for hauling other things once I am done with that.
The thought was to possibly use the truck to haul things for others when times are slow but I will likely need another trailer for that and buying one this year is not in the budget. Long Term registering for 80,000 is probably the plan but I don't think I will this first year -
At least it's not an '08 DPF.
