I just did an application online I just got my license so they are going to train me. Any idea on how much you think I would make? I tried to ask about the pay but they told me to first do the application and they will go over it and call me back tomorrow.

then just wait for them to contact you.
if they do not call you in say 2-3 days, tops, YOU CALL THEM, and inquire on the status of your application. what starting pay the offer one person, may be different from another, due to training, and past/former experiences.
good luck.pattyj, sammy_74, mountaingote and 1 other person Thank this. -
.you'll probably get paid salary while in training 350.00 to 500.00 a week and probably goes up after a couple weeks in training.once you complete it you'll get paid by the mile.do they have a website you can check out?

Kkw in Pomona? Have you spoke to Gina?
I think pay is 350 a week.
CPM is 34 or 35 unless it went up.
Also I think they run paper logs trucks do 68 or 70mph -
you know, that is a lot of training pay.
yeah, it IS a lot, since when i first started out, it was a whopping $200 per week.
what i find galling at times, is some (not all however) newbies (not this o/p by the way), think that they are going to get the pay we get now, with out some sort of training or "time in" like the rest of us had to do.
in todays world, $350 to $500 can be peanuts, especially after taxes, and expenses on the road, like food, but it is what it is, and is short lived, unless the newbie fails to catch on and get the job done. the sooner a newbies learns to get things right, and NOT have to be consistently hounded to learn, the sooner a newbie can break away from training and earn a higher pay.
ah yes, $200 per week.............those were the days.
that lasted all of about 2 weeks with me, then we went team, then about 1 week later, i had my own truck.
so time does fly by.rachi, Sneakerfix and pattyj Thank this. -
I got paid a whopping 325.00 a week then the last two weeks it went up to 350.00 a week.companies think they're doing trainees a favor by giving them more. as training progresses when in reality the pay is an insult to the drivers intellegence.it should be against the law.ttheyre making a nice profit off traineess.but like u said it is what it is and they're not going to change.sammy_74 Thanks this.

Couple months ago, I spoke with Gina the recruiter she told me it would be $400 a week, four weeks of training then you get pay .31 then later it goes up to .32.
Honestly I heard good things about this company, now I called swift their paying $450 a week four weeks of training then you get started at .36.. -
At $350 that's $5 an hour if they work you at 70 hours. Look around. The biggest mistake new drivers make is they do not research enough and get hired on to a company they like then they leave with a bitter attitude. Check out this site and see what other new drivers have done. Make a list of the good ones and bad ones. Then go from there. That's a start anyway.
