First up my wiper fluid low light doesn't work at all. Is the only fix is to replace the whole unit? It has never worked since I purchased the truck 2 years ago
Seat belts warning chime keeps going even with seat belt attached Dealer wants 200 or so for a new and not improved seat belt anchor. Can I jump the connection to make the chime stop?
Lastly how often should I get the ECM updated by the dealer? I am currently sitting at 628k and dealer had the truck at 375k about 2 years ago. The truck runs great. I am just curious on what you guys think. My first truck was an 2008 ISX ultrashift and was told by the dealer come in once a year for updates
2010 630 D13 10speed 628k
TIA
Ivan

The answers in order, yes, yes and maybe. The washer bottle is non serviceable. You can in plug the sensor for the seat belt and stick a paper clip in the 2 terminals. And the software updates are usually for aftertreatment issues or certain minor glitches. Not required but will definitely help with pesky MIL lights etc
QUALITYTRUCK and Rock 'n Roll Relocater Thank this. -
Why do you need a light for washer fluid? Check it every pretrip and fuel stop. I would cut the wire on the seat belt and leave the motor alone if it ain't broke

My last freightliner had seat belt " bing, bing, bing " all the time. The contacts where the belt clips into the belt receiver wear out. Yes you can by pass it. Unplug it where it comes through the floor and attaches to the seat. Just fold a piece of wire in a U and plug it into the holes, that bridges the circuit. DON'T let bear catch you.
