Everyone is saying what I said... And the majority of time that is the problem. But don't get tunnel vision and limit it just to the doser. The dpf differential pressure sensor measures the air flow before the doc and after the dpf. A face plugged dpf will cause it to want to regen frequently. I have seen soot ratio at 42% the dpf is plugged due to a flex pipe failure. All the asbestos fiber is lying on top of the dpf. That will cause it to want to regen a lot too. The only way to tell of you have a doser problem is to moniter the regen temps, or flow test the doser. If the doser flows good and temps stay low, you have to either scope the dpf or pull for a visual inspection. Don't go blow 3-400 bucks and and wind up not fixing the problem. Even if the doser fails you still have the doser module to rule out as well. I get a lot of shade tree mechanics can figure what the problem is but to determine to root cause might be a little more detailed than what meets the eye. Read my first post. I won't steer you wrong but you will need to be hooked to insite to correctly diag the root cause, or you are just pissing money away hoping to hit the target.
