I'll sign a commitment letter when THEY do, guaranteeing my income, miles, insurance rates, etc.
This is an at-will business and they can fire you at any time for any reason. I'll be GD'd if I will EVER sign a letter committing to anything more unless THEY sign a letter with an equal commitment to ME.
Start out reefer or van?

Can you please copy your "commitment letter" from Palmer here? I, and I'm sure many other members of the forum would appreciate it.

Palmer/Wil-Trans wants you to work for what I consider an extreme period as a new driver at VERY substandard wages on the promise that they will pay you much better later.
I actually applied with them when I didn't think I was going to get into System and was told they wouldn't be able to compete with System Transport, so never mind. (I have Hazmat and TWIC clearance + zero tickets so it wasn't my record).
I was promised basically 16CPM based on team for 150k miles then 45 CPM after. Only reason I was looking at them was pet policy. Money-wise, what I got from them as a new driver out of school was slightly better than I could have got from SWIFT/CR England IF that.Lightside Thanks this. -
