Company as a whole, not bad at all, VP of operations told me I was welcome to come back without issue. Just this particular guy on this particular customers account was very difficult to work with. Sad to being that hes the same guy that controls how much money you make. If things dont go the way he likes, your miles get cut.

Sounds like someone who should be canned. Good luck at your next stop.
firecracker440 and Gunner75 Thank this. -
Does PGT have Northeast regional. I run out of Syracuse NY right now with a ne regional company doing dry van however I have my hazmat and coil endorsement. Wanna run flatbed but home weekends is a must
-
When I was there.. I ran the "rust belt" and at the time. I was home just about every weekend. No more than two weeks(by choice). I lived in Maryland near ocean city and they were able to get me home most weekends.. But they do have several accounts they could get you. Even home daily accountspchandler99 Thanks this.

Thanks for the info. I love running the northeast and have seen some guys delivering to lowes stores, I would love to get into something like that.

So they don't do a strictly northeast region. You could be called a Northeast regional driver but could go out farther

28% of $2000.00 per day isn't bad but 28% of $400.00 per day would suck. percent means nothing without all the other numbers.

start at 26% based on experience, trucks average 4000 a week, so you'll make your percentage off the total line haul revenue for the week. Its also based on how hard you run. I know a lot of drivers who knock out 5 to 6 loads a week and generate 5500+. They also have a oversize specialized division where I have a friend at, hes never made less than 1600 after taxes. They have a dedicated triaxle division hauling overweight coils. They have a dedicated customer account that I was on called Vesuvius, its OTR getting mileage pay starting at .395cpm but you'll get 3200 miles a week easy, and as much as 3900 like I did several times, but you'll have to stay out to get that. My lowest check was on 3 days on a holiday for 800. My highest was 2400.
Linehaul runs mostly East of I35, but they will go all 48, Triaxle fleet stays in Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Penn, Michigan. Few runs down to Alabama/Mississippi. Vesuvius is primarily the same areas, with some runs out to Plymouth Utah. Specialized goes wherever the freight goes. The best paid division of PGT is Southern Pines Transport. that is the hazmat tanker division of PGT. Those guys are required to be out 3 weeks at a time but they make a killing.Toona67, bigred81 and pchandler99 Thank this.
