**chuckle** Tell you guys what... Once I'm driving and if the truck I'm issued doesn't have a radio, I'll snag that bugger and give it a whirl....

deal but i dont know if i can wait that long. guess i gotta keep pushing til somebody gets one. i sound like a cobra salesman here. -
Ya know, I've been thinking. I'm not sure my cell phone has the blue tooth thing..........I wonder if a good radio shop could wire in a plug to use a wire and run the cb like a headset.....without the blue tooth. hmmmm
-
If ya were a cobra salesman you would already be telling us how great it works, instead of asking us.

Mine doesn't either Wall....I replaced my phone the last time with a Motorola and for just a few bucks more I could have got one that was BT compatable.I didn't think I would need it so I screwed up.....I was on ebay last tho' looking at new phones.lol -
Why is weather band so important to you guys? The old International I drove had a radio with the weather band. My '04 freightliner has a radio with the weather band? Do your trucks really not have the weather band on the radio? The only advantage (not something I always like) is that the CB will give me that obnoxious tone when there's a severe alert. I was sitting in Minneapolis, waiting to get loaded, talking to dispatch telling them about the SEVERAL HOUR DELAY and the tone went off. I don't think the person on the phone liked it too well, either. Honestly, I didn't realize it didn't have weather band until you guys pointed it out, but since I'll be putting this in my Tahoe, I don't really need it. I usually look at the radar on my cell phone anyway.
Muleskinner Thanks this. -
I haven't spent the dough to get radar on my cell, I run a open car hauler and try to miss storms if they are in the area. HAIL= a damage claim.

Who's your provider. I have Sprint's navigation package for $20/month. I get unlimited data and the use of TeleNav (which usually gives good routes, even though I just check distances with it most of the time). I use wunderground's mobile web site, showing the current conditions, forecast, radar, etc. I can also check my e-mail and everything else from my cell, all on the walk from my truck to the truck stop's front door.

Uhhh..My last truck was a '84 359 Pete that I sold last year and the one I'm looking at trading for now is a '90 KW w900l....Old Iron usually only has what you put in it.I use a Bearcat 350a for weather reports...Or roll the window down and stick my head out.Either way works pretty good for me.
