The bears will be fine, and have been fine everywhere we have drilled. The rules up here on the oilfields are strict. When I worked for Schlumberger as an equipment operator in the well services dept., I would be driving down the road and if any type of animal gets in the road way, I was to stop. I have waited for hours to watch a herd of caribou cross the road. I once waited 10 minutes for a bird to make up its mind if it was going to cross the road or not. If a polar bear was present we had red lights that would flash warning us to go back inside and wait till they left the area. The outsiders are trying to control our lands and it just aggravates me something serious.
