I have been thinking about joining status, but only wonder what I can average a week over there AFTER expenses...
-
And nobody responded did they.
-
Of course there was no response. The OP has posted 4 times in 6 years. All rants about 3 different companies doing him wrong.
Looks like the defense of Status Trans is trucker phil's only posts. Wonder who he really is?
izifaddag and JimmyWells Thank this. -
See what you mean about the OP. However I worked for Status and they still owe me money. They desperately want me to ask Truckers Report to remove a thread about them I started, it has subsequently been locked for some reason. It got added to by quite a few other guys who got worked over one way or another. Got a phone call the other day from some poor guy who started there in December in some office capacity asking me, well I actually don't know exactly what he was asking me. I think it goes something like this - we will give you the $786 we stole from you if you agree to remove the thread.
I would lay money that 'Trucker Phil' is another plant. Another salted post.
I was told they have changed their modus operandi a bit and that may be the case but I still distrust them.JimmyWells and sevenmph Thank this. -
I have little doubt Phil is a company plant. Sorry to hear about your troubles with them. I find the rest of the story interesting. We'll give you the money we owe you IF........... If my ###. Just give me the money you owe me.
I will try to find that other thread.izifaddag Thanks this. -
It is all water under the bridge now but it was infuriating at the time. The owner of the company would give me some money back and then ask me to say something nice about them. He did this multiple times.
Think about it. He has money that is mine, not his, refunds it then wants a reward. It was bizarre.
There was a sideways threat, I suppose legal stuff. Eventually I did get all my money back, I honestly did with one exception. A $786 'fee' for some trailer charge that wasn't in my contract. They just helped themselves out of my first settlement when I returned to work after a break. Obviously I questioned it. Never got a straight answer just a lie about the trailer belonging to someone else (it didn't) and general mumbling.
No explanation as to why it was taken, how it broke down or anything, it had to be a mileage fee. The trailer was in perfect condition when I returned it. I even stopped and put 2 tires on it on the way back to the yard! No, it was a hub mileage fee, we both know that Sevenmph. Not in the contract but the contract seemed to mean nothing to them. They just didn't grok the significance of it or how important it was.
It was all a shame really because they had a great business offer. 20% off the combined LH + FSC for dispatch, admin and a trailer. A pretty good deal - if they had stuck to it. Very high escrow, $1500 plus another $1500 held for a fuel card so a total escrow of $3,000, kinda outrageous! Daft logbook oversight!! They would flag a logbook because you didn't write 24 under total hours and stuff like that. Petty! They also liked to book loads without running it by you first. You will find a thread here that smells strongly of that. Now I know that can be a problem but it shouldn't be if you work closely with the driver and you can trust each other. I gave it my best shot but I was lied to or misinformed so many times that it destroyed the relationship.
Coz that is what you do right? On account of us all being stupid truck drivers.
Oh well water under the bridge as they say.
One last thing before I close this post. Earlier in this thread we have 2 know it alls chiming in supporting Trucker Phil against the OP without bothering to research anything that he was saying. These holier than thou Monday morning quarterbacks make me sick. They seem to think they are cleverer than everybody else often using that classic line "you should have....."
Ok done.Earlytimes and sevenmph Thank this. -
I've have worked for status transportation for 5 years now and to me it's a good company to work for. This is 100% owner operator company. I choose to run where I want and how I want. I have a great working relationship with my dispatcher and we work as a team. That's how it works for me.

With the sitting waiting on a Load. You will make about $1100.00 to $1500.00 after Expenses. They don't have any contracts with companies of there own. They 100% depend on Brokers. And steel off the top. They tell the Broker not to decuss money with the o/o.Don't Wast your time.
Earlytimes Thanks this.
