so long as you dont violate the 70% as they call it(this would be rated 30% by way tint is sold) youd be fine, just if you get an officer that tries to ticket you without a light reader show him/her the rule, if one tries to ticket you with a light reader make him/her show you the reading the best reader will only read at a -2+, most readers will tell there +/- scale on the back of it also

I have my Windows tinted 20% however I stay in Florida. DOT and the Police never seem to stress it though. All my personal vehicles have had 5% one had double 5% lol (10 plus years now). Never received a ticket. My front windshield strip is a life saver when the suns coming up and down. I see so many trucks down here with tint it doesn't even phase me anymore.

get smart tint.....one sec there and by the time they walk up to your truck you flick a button and it's gone....no problems and will freak the officer out....lol
Alberta trucker, Bob Trehus and LumbraX Thank this. -
Hey now... I guess 70% is the magic number... Stock glass is already at 10% I believe... Pretty hard to find a tint light enough to make 20% for the difference. 3M Crysteline is huge expensive for 5% and they put their logo on the tint or in it so it doesn't come off. #### DOT..!!!

Hey brother... What is smart tint..?
-
Crystalline or the Huper Optik is the best 70% tint I prefer the huper keeps the heat and uv rays out
-
I just googled it... Never seen it before... May be the best, and a pretty cool option...

Yes, I think theCrystalline is to clear to cut the rays like they advertise and more expensive than the smart tint I just viewed... Which I think is pretty cool..!
