I'd rather do 500 a day at 54 cpm, pluss detention, and hook pay, and layover pay. if your not getting that you might look elsewhere for a better job.

    I understand that reply.... truly.

I was just reacting to being whizzed on by someone else.

Sometimes there's truth to the old saying " count to ten before you push send"

    It's true , though.

I am hurt. Almost as hurt as you were when you where driving your real job listening to things on the radio that made you feel hurt. I apologize for Shaffer for hurting you. I hope that the radio only plays nice things today. Like Taylor Swift or beiber.

Yeah, I hate it when someone says since they heard it in a truck stop that it has to be true.

In his defense, he DID provide some literature that offered different info than what I heard on the radio.

I'm waiting on the commercial to re-air see exactly what I possibly heard or retained in my memory incorrectly. Then , when I'm wrong , I will come here and OWN IT.

He did , though , post some Shaffer ads for 68k ... that's not what the radio ad I heard stated as I recall. I'm waiting to refresh.

In all fairness, if your gonna bash a company, do it with real facts and experience. Don't bash something that you don't know and hurt our rep which can hurt my profit share.

Ok... last TIME. I did not BASH Shaffer

My post said for drivers to do the math and not chase cpm only.

If what I heard I don't recall correctly then I WILL come back here and redact my OP.

If you like your job , great. I really like mine , too.

My apologies to you , sir , for starting anything that may have rendered any hard feelings whatsoever. That was not my intent. It was not an attack on new drivers. It was not a bash at any company. It was but an PSA for someone to think beyond the bait that may , or may not , be being dangled in front of them.

There is more to all things than meets the eye.

Again... to you , Mr Murphy , my apologies for stepping upon your toes , as unintentional as it may have been.

I will attempt to be more careful in the future.

Driving through the Windy last week and it was backed up. Some guy whining on the CB about the traffic. Another guy says it's his 3rd trip through that day. Someone else says you couldn't pay him enough to drive Chicago all day to which the 2nd guy responds with 'that's what separates the Men from the boys'. Your comment made me think of that. I always get a kick out of those types of claims of manhood.
