Normally I am very polite and we'll mannered, but it is becoming harder and harder to keep from blowing a gasket on some of these brokers. It's like they don't realize that we have to eat and pay bills. They seem to forget that trucks need maintenance and insurance and all that. Maybe they think we do this for fun?

Ask the broker if he's still charging his customers the same rates. Or less.
I've heard shippers are still paying the same rates.

Couldn't tell you exactly...we get them out of Quebec from a guy my father knows for our church.
( talked to the frenchy that brought them last year, he said $5 a loaded mile flat-deadhead back. Also said they have 6-12 stops on them down around the city)Cat sdp Thanks this. -

I kinda dislike the ones that haul lumber down and logs back north.
They have killed all the saw mills around me...
And while I wouldn't deal with lumber .... Somthimes bark ,saw dust or shavings were an option.Ruthless Thanks this. -
