Great, thanks for the information. I'm not too afraid of nyc. Hopefully I don't get sent there my first trip out or anything but either way, as long as I take my time and pay full attention to everything I'll be alright. My test is this Friday, if all goes well, I'll be in Carlisle before the month is out. I'm glad to hear that it is a good facility.

You will usually get sent out to Shelbyville IL International Paper plant dropping off a loaded trailer and maybe grabbing loaded trailer back to Kenton to start with. Pretty easy run along I-70

Yup, I live NW of Philly and 1st month that was about 75% of my miles. Kenton to Shelbyville to Kenton eventually back home and back then I parked my truck at Fairless Hills PA near Jersey border.

Thanks for the heads up tman. I got my license today so thankfully that weight is off my shoulders. Considering the fail rate around here, that's a big worry gone now. I report to Carlisle on the 28th so I have a couple of weeks to prepare for that, along with getting my passport.

If the plan is sometimes canada, pay close attention to the info given on logging. They do things differently but you are subject to whichever country you are in and/or entering. From what I understand it can bite you more often coming back in to the U.S.

    AM14 Thanks this.

@mickeyrat That's great advice. I don't know anything about running Canada but will start reading up on it. I never even thought about the differences in rules. Time to hit the ol' TTR search bar.
