Congrats on becoming a mentor, MsJamie. I've got one piece of advice for you......

San Antonio. Dropped my load and my next pplan cancelled so they found me another one that picks up in the morning going to Brea, CA. No appointment on it so was told that if delivers after Monday afternoon then will t-call in Phoenix on Sunday night. At least this is what the planners in Lancaster told me. Been there and done that. I am getting ready to bend over on this one. CSR will not be able to do anything until probably Monday and by then will be to late. I remember the last time that told this and then ended up taking it the whole way because Phoenix said that they had no one around there that could deliver the next day

TA in Morris, Illinois. As usual, Costco won't release empties and the planners keep trying to push Costco loads on me. It may be a long weekend.
-
So you'd rather sit for a weekend than pull a Costco load? It's not like its nuclear waste. Take the load and make some money!
-
Nuclear waste .... lol
-
If you delivered your last load to Costco and had to bt out, you will be able to bt back in for the new load.

Didn't notice the name of the town, but I-10 x7 in LA.
I deliver tomorrow morning, the first of 2 stops, in Houston.
Petco.
And a load with a bit too much time on it, even for me.
Since I picked it up I've had 2 'Important' messages come through, both saying basically the same thing.
Thanks for taking this hot load, please be sure to deliver on time. They will be waiting for you.
12/13 0400, 12/13 0600
I guess they just want to make sure that I don't try to deliver it early.
Which I could have, by about 13 hours.
The thing is, and I was thinking about it when that second message came through, I would be out of hours if I got there early and it would be mid-afternoon on a Saturday in Houston at a busy Petco.
Into the evening when the second delivery was complete, in Houston.
Not may options for truck stops, among other concerns.
I'm very happy to wait those 12 hours and deliver the loads before the world wakes up, and hopefully have a load out of there.
I'm not crazy about a 0030 wake up call, but oh well. -
Yupp. He'd get miles out of it instead of sitting for the weekend. Plus when you deliver the load, got an mt.
-
That Costco isn't a bad gig.
Easy in, and easy out. And the weight isn't always as high as the pplan would suggest.
I've had pplans that said 45k, yet the load was only 24k - because it always says the same thing.
