Anyplace I bring cheese cuz they always gotta break down the pallets and count every case. But hey at least I'm not the one gotta count every case. And detention is detention. I think last week I accounted for almost 20 hours of detention. 4 different stops. I know it's not the horror stories you hear about 30 hours at one receiver but it speaks to the lack of empathy for drivers at these places and that's kinda sad.

Was at a Food Lion in North Carolina delivering butter. Guy at dock beside me was delivering orange juice. Warehouse workers were giving everyone a very hard time for no reason other than they could. They were really giving the orange juice load guy a hard time. Finally they signed his bills and told him to leave. He waited until the guy was out of sight and drove an electric pallet jack with a case of orange juice back on his trailer and left. There was no guard to check out with at that warehouse; just pull away and hit the highway. Probably took a few weeks or months to figure out they are missing a case of orange juice and electric pallet jack. I didn't see anything and neither did any other drivers.
Riprap, Dale thompson, mountaingote and 3 others Thank this. -
Baaaaaaa that's epic I love it! I don't have the cajones to do somethin like that, my biggest revenge tactic is complaining about em under my breath as I drive down the driveway. By the time I get to the stop sign I feel better.

When I could, if they gave me a hard time, I'd load up on their pallets just before leaving, then go sell them. Sometime make $150.00 or $200.00 cash doing that. At that time I had a little notebook of places all over the USA that would buy used pallets.
I met one guy that had a rubber stamp that read "Pallet Exchange" and would stamp the receivers copy then go sell the pallets.scottlav46 Thanks this. -
