What ISP/Hotspot do you use? How much data is used? I have a ps4 and had it in the truck. Ran into inverter issues but got a working setup. I never played online on the road. I'm not driving right now but plan on going back. But I want to be able to play online.

Just a thought to those who want a gaming console in their truck. I too am a gamer and this too was something I wanted to be able to do on occasion while out on the road. As it would give me and my wife something we could do together while being apart.

Anyhow...inverters..you should do a Google search on the different types. There is what's called a pure sin wave type that is much better for your electronics. They cost a bit more then the standard ones you get at the TS's but won't destroy your devices after alot of use. So it'll be worth it to not fry your ps4.

As for online gaming you can do another Google search on the avg amount of data use while playing. What I found out just normal online gaming avg's about 15-20 megs an hour. Being 1000 megs to 1gig. You can kinda figure how much gaming you can avg per month per your data plan.

For me my phone has the ability to set as a hotspot and use my data plan. Just be careful to not do any updates while on your data plans. I'd find a hotspot somewhere to do those.

I have a PS4 in my truck and a 24" Vizio. My first TV died because I had it on the TV mount in my Pete and it basically shook the thing to death. Now I take it down each morning and lay it on the bed. I keep the PS4 on my bed too so it doesn't get any shock. I remove the disc when I'm finished playing to be safe. So far it has worked great. Really helps pass time when I'm held over somewhere or have some down time. I make sure I get plenty of sleep and I suggest any real game addicts not have one in their truck because it would be too tempting and you really can't risk safety to play games. It's just not worth it.

Why wouldn't you be able to? Find out if the hotel's TV has the necessary ports to hook it up. Are you planning on going straight from school to a company or going home first? If going straight to a company, your trainer may not want you lugging around that PS4, games, and accessories in the truck with him taking up precious space.. it's already going to be cramped as is.
