There are other exemptions.

If your log no more than 8 days out of 30 you can use paper. This won't help OTR guys but I am going to try and get by on this one as most my running is air mile exempt and it is rare that I log more than 8 days a month.

 

Now that's no way to be... You know it's in your / our best interest.

You are correct actually, a lot of people don't want to think for themselves, their to dam lazy!!The people that set around letting the guverment do it for them because they are to busy, busy as in wanting to have fun instead of working a normal job, is part of what I feel the problem is.

Drove 779 miles round trip yesterday to look at older trucks, Company here local I can lease onto that does a lot of wide / oversize loads, flat / step / RGN they seem pretty legit and have no age restrictions on trucks as long as it passes a good DOT check. Really thinking of going back on the road, the Coal industry is drying up...quickly..... I came off the road to be close to my wife last year after her heart problem, been working for a relative who has catered to longwall mining for over 18 years and done great, now selling off trucks, laying people off do to mines shutting down. Whole world is in turmoil. Be careful out there.
