Odd thing I have noticed, the turn signal lights located on the sides of the trailer are usually at the center of the trailer

 

At the center meaning 24 feet. That is not necessarily the center for weight distribution.

 

Just checked mine when I went to drain the main vain. The center for weight distribution is about a foot back from the mid marker light on my 2015 great dane.

 

When I worked for System the light was center of trailer and then if I loaded about a foot back from the light things would usually turn out just right. Could be the makers but all this math is waaayyyy over my head at this time lol

 

You don't need to do all this math it's not that difficult especially with a spread you did it right load the center of gravity a foot or so behind center as long as you can gross it you'll be fine.

 

Easiest solution. Order a trailer with a coil package. And load smack dab in the middle of those extra cross members just like the manufacture built the trailer to be loaded.

 

@Chewy352, you did a wonderful job breaking down another way to load a coil without going into as much math as I did...

 

It was still too much math. My head hurts from doing it. Or maybe that's from the beers last night.

Exactly my point,its notrocket science, one foot back of center and its that simple to find the center. Heck most guys that load you know where the center is, by the signal light. 35 years, I know where to put a coil without measuring everything on the truck.
