Wilcox, AZ. Thought that I could get to Phoenix but after no sleep last night and fighting these winds all day, as far as a I can get. I so need a day that I can get up the road and not have to fight the winds. The other day when going East the winds out of the ESE, and since yesterday driving west, winds out of the SSW and gusting up to 20mpy and all of 6.4mpg. And even tho I have a t-call for tomorrow and delivery is set up for Wednesday can not do a MAC 30 because says PTA is set before delivery.

 

We passed each other somewhere on I-10. I'm on the east side of El Paso at the J headed for San Antonio. I'm starting to get sick so another short day tomorrow with a drop Tuesday morning.

 

I was referring to your comment about being too lazy to fill out a Costco delivery receipt. Takes me less than a minute, I carry a supply of blank forms with me.

 

I did see a black Cascadia heading east somewhere in NM. Know what you mean about getting sick. I am still fighting this same bug for the last almost 2 weeks now.

Working with a planner to get a load ... 5 minutes on my 70, get 6 hrs, 54 minutes tomorrow, 8 hrs and 13 minutes on Tuesday, and 7 hrs and 45 minutes on Wednesday.

110 miles to final tomorrow, 69 miles to shipper and 729 miles to final at 2300 Wednesday night ... planner can't give it to me, the plus one system says I can't make it ... WTF ... that's essentially 23 hours. Even accounting for 3 pre trips - at 15 minutes each and 3 customer stops - at 25 minutes each (yeah, right?), that still leaves 21 hours to do 910 miles.

 

Nice little side effect of Plus One ... even if you or your DM set your PTA for the t call time, Plus One will auto update your PTA to match the final on the load.

 

The system does not even like giving a 700 mile for 24 hours with the new system

I have a live unload at Dollar General tomorrow at 0800.

Just as I got here I was sent a pplan, picking up 65 miles from here and t-calling at Memphis 100 miles away by 1600.
The destination is OKC on Thursday the 17th, so a bit over 500 miles.

I turned it down and said I would take it if they lost the t-call.
Doing the t-call would take up the rest of my day, for not much. It's a live load.
I could get it to OKC on Wednesday and try to deliver it early. It is a FCFS place, so it is likely.
