But it had no problem giving me a 1380+ mile load that Plus1 expected me to deliver in less than 48 hours.
Last 2 loads I took (both D&H at final) had stupid drop windows. I took them assuming that the REAL window was much more reasonable and I was correct. Current load had a 12/11 0800-12/14 0200 window. I'll deliver it sometime tomorrow morning (12/15) based on making it 25 miles up the road to pick up my next load @ 1100.
42 days and a wake up!

Moose , that's definitely one worth a quick call to the planner . I've had really good luck getting those kind of contortions fixed bypassing the system and talking to a human . OTOH , talking to a Swift REMF...
I'm betting that's a shuttle load and we know they get fed first . My opinion is they can pick up their own loads or let a local driver go get it . II'll pick one up if the pu time makes sense and its backed with a stack that delivers to a non-shuttle area so it won't get voided mid route . Otherwise , #### 'em.
Hope you don't take offense , DH , but I'm not a big fan of being taken advantage of by an office pogue blowing sunshine up my ### .Last edited: Dec 14, 2015
Moosetek13 Thanks this. -
Steve , any plans for day 43 you want to mention ?

New Boston, planner must have thought I was joking when I refused a load just under 45k because I can't scale it legally.
-
Oh yeah , planner , I'm an owner and hauling 45k isn't profitable unless its high miles and over relatively flat terrain and not through traffic armpits like the one you chose to live in . And BTW , this weather up here certainly ain't Texas style !

That is one thing that I have learned, if the time is stupid and plus one is giving it, then there is a open window. I always get a kick out of the Hyper Focus or JIT that has a open window. Honestly, I just want to be told the truth from the get go. Maybe I have been busting my butt, and just want to relax, so give me a 1200 mile load that has 3 days and I am good to go, but with the plus 1 system, it might say that it can wait and dispatch wqith 2.5 days to deliver and then have to push. As a L/O, let me make that decision, after all, it is my truck and my business

It was 370 miles into New York, sitting on 6:8 fuel, no way I can make that legal.
I wonder if US287 is still shut down in Stratford, TX after the foot of snow that came in yesterday. -
I remember some time back I was given a load out of Denver going up to Wyoming, about 45K and I said no, weight and hills and not profitable, and actually received a message back from the planner, and asking, what hills and Swift says that it is profitable, and of course, he did not sign his name.

Its open but I stay on the I-10 corridor during the winter . I've been on a load to Denver and left Amarillo in clear sky, relatively warm weather and been stopped in blizzard conditions in Boise City a few hours later . If I'm going to have to shut down for weather I would prefer a casino nearby but that never happens .
