1099 Contractor

    That's not what you said though. Here's what you said, why so many people have jumped on you:
    That is flat out wrong, you do have to pay tax, even if you don't pay income tax, and furthermore, you pay more tax than you would under a W2.

    The company you work for may be a great company, the job may be great, the pay great, you may have the greatest gig. That's not the point. The point is that you are not better off because you are on a 1099.

    Furthermore, you may not care, but what they are doing is illegal, and if the government wanted to come down on them they could get them for fraud. If you are not driving your own truck, paying your own fuel, etc, then you are a company driver, not a contractor, and they are required to treat you as an employee, and that means a W2.

    Well let's see, annual physical is free, I can afford that. Dr visit is $30, I can afford that. Hospital gets expensive, but can pay for it. I have 90% coverage with an out of pocket maximum of $6200. So no matter how high my medical bills get the most I would have to pay in an entire year is $6200, it's a lot, but a hell of a lot better then hundreds of thousands
