Doesnt make any sense. That shoe had to be hanging......broken spring for starters......
-
Asked question hoping someone else could answer what happened or that you could tell us the picture is deceiving. Over adjustment does not wear out just one shoe. No one would want to see that repeated.
Diesel Dave Thanks this. -
The spring is melted, kind of happens when all hell breaks loose.
shoes were not hanging. This was after it cooled, dont mind all the extinguisher dust. Should of seen me I was all yellow.
Diesel Dave Thanks this. -
Hey Fajo do you guys mostly run the northwest?
-
In this case it did, I dont know if it was just a grip from the pad or what, but it wore one down that heated the other shoe, this was pretty much the consensus of the road call boys and what we seen.
-
Refeer devision runs the mid west also, tho most of them like to stay northwest.
-
At least you didn't end up like this. Came across this while out beating around the backroads on a day off a couple summers ago. Truck was fine. Guy got it unhooked before it really went up.
@Fajo Did they at least warranty the burnt brake? 3k miles is practically brand new.Cottonmouth85 and Fajo Thank this. -
Unknown, that tailer is brand new. I'm the one that towed it out of utility, im guessing the company will end up sending them the bill. The trailer is hitting utility As soon as im unloaded, company wants it to have a once over they dont like surprises. One thing I love here is they are very very anal about their maintenance.

Mine caught fire Tuesday coming down Fancy Gap. Guess how many drivers stopped to help........, Took my two extinguishers and a gallon of piss.
FinkPloyd, Nitemare13 and Fajo Thank this.
