    Do aftermarket straight stacks sound the same on trucks with DEF as they do on the older trucks?

    No. I don't know a lot of new trucks but guy I pull for just got a brand new peterbilt and it has straight stacks hidden behind the muffler shield. The big step box on drivers side houses the dpf.

    No, the DPF element works as a muffler also. The sound of straights will soon be all gone in the future.

    The neighbor kids would be pissed if i didnt come up the road one gear to low then grab a gear when I go by them straight pipes hollaring the whole way......
