My Cummins 350 Big cam revse up by itself without me pushing the gas. Has anyone had this problem before that can advise me the way to resolve this problem. Thanks in advance.

Are you consuming oil?

Queue pants crapping moment at 1:36!
At the OP: is it just a lazy and gradual rise in RPM or does it just take right off immediately? -
Could be time to have fuel pump (one that pumps fuel to injectors) built?

Nov my oil is perfect

Just got it rebuilt, could it be a leak somewhere

It doesn't do it all the time. But sometimes is slow and other times its quick. I noticed yesterday. While it was rising, I pushed the clutch and it got higher quickly

You need to call shop that built your pump to tell them that its revving up with no pedal added, they should have you bring pump back to adj. pump maybe bring truck over to them so they can hear it?

I haven't been around the old Cummins long enough to know them super well but I do recall something about the governors on those trucks tending to stick or something and cause them to rev up and bounce off the rev limiters when the hand throttle was set for cold weather warm up. Not sure if there's a correlation there or not. Maybe @BoxCarKidd has some insight here?
tweeter15 Thanks this.
