I literally just requested my DAC for this reason. I had an "Incident" (not ashamed to admit it anymore) where the truck rolled forward into a small truck at a customers location due to me forgetting to set the brakes. I'm almost certain this is considered a preventable but seeing how it happened while I wasn't driving makes me wonder if it can be disputed. I'm considering applying for the Waltons but this has me worried.

Good luck by the way, hope it works out for you, let us know asap!

if any damages occurred, Wal Mart would deem it preventable...you forgot to set the brakes.

    jdiesel3406 and Ron_G_Sr Thank this.

right, but wal mart does use a portion of hire right and if the company mentions this, without it being on the app... well, it doesn't look good and there won't be any second chances.

Thats what I was getting at. The last company I worked for did not report to dac. I knew I had something on my company file. I reported what was on the company file. I got hired.

yep, better off mentioning it for sure. You're right, many companies don't use those services, but when Wal Mart sends the verification forms, etc. and something is omitted on the app, but they say something about an incident, they there is little recourse.

Thanks for the responses, I surely appreciate it.
Excuse my ignorance on the matter, how would one know if their company reports to dac? I was thinking of asking safety but instead just requested the report. And yes, there was damage.

I have nothing to hide and I would rather put it down on the app and get disqualified than go through the process and getting caught omitting information.

The only way I found out was when I received my dac. I did not see all the company's I worked for.

Update: WM emailed me saying they spoke to my previous employer. My previous employer does things a lot different when reporting according to them and how the rebuttal system Works.

So now my previous employer is gonna send me some papers and start that process. We shall see how this goes
