Boycott Chinese products!!

Cat definitely ain't what it used to be. Even their equipment quality control is iffy at times. They don't build everything they sell either. Their smaller industrial engines are actually Perkins but Cat technically owns them. Their forklifts and other material handling equipment are actually just rebadged yellow JLGs or Mitsubishis.

You want US made parts you better buy aftermarket, cummins is no better.
As far as small engines go they aren't even built by Perkins, they are Asian built. -
Just today I had an A/C compressor go out on a 377 Pete. Got a new compressor right from Peterbilt, "Made in China". Very sad.
Cummins can't even translate to English good. I got a paper with a new EGR valve that is said, "If use M10 x 1.25 hole blank not." It had a picture of the bolt hole for the heat shield. I assume that are trying to tell me that the hole may not be used?? Again, it was a genuine Cummins part. -
Sounds like the grammer quality of the average post here on TTR!
-
I'm no grammar expert by any means, I make plenty of typo's, but I don't get paid to post here. We pay A LOT of money for parts that come with instructions that would offend Ikea. Just gives an impression of poor quality all around.

It's "grammar" lol
Unless that was deliberate...vikingswen, tucker and Straight Stacks Thank this. -
Years ago they made fun of the J.A.Pan Co. Well that was good stuff compared to this Chinese junk.
-
Yah, it's terrible isn't it. When I overhauled my Cat 3408 I thought the engine was made in USA but in fact it's got made in Canada stamped all over it!
Apologies to Canadians...
