Good Night From II

We almost meet again ... the load I'm on unloads at Kroger at 0700 on the 18th. But I'm tcalling in Edwardsville tomorrow, then taking a Command load to Dallas. Same fix as Steve, trying to work my way home the 22nd.

 

What a bummer.

I'm just hoping that this Kroger is not as bad as most grocery places that hold you up all day.
Maybe you were the lucky one.

 

My last Kroger (Frys) load was a Command load that I ended up dropping.

 

Steve, I also had a Amazon load the other day when I got empty in San Antonio only to have that also cancel just before I got there and had one to pick up in Grand Prairie following only to have the planners pull that one and then ending giving me one that t-called here in Phoenix. Only because there was no delivery appointment set and it picked up on a Saturday

 

In 5 1/2 years here, never done an Amazon load.

 

The thing that pissed me off was the fact that they let me sit there for 2 hours before they told me.
I can safely say I've ran my last Amazon load.

 

You haven't missed much. They insist you be there by a certain time then have up to 2 hours to finish loading.
Delivering to Amazon is worse. Getting them to accept a drop is like pulling teeth.

 

I have done one Amazon load and that was out of KY and a over nighter. Have not done one since and that was about 3 or 4 years ago. As far as I know and have been told, all of the planning on those loads is being handled by Memphis

A car merging in, and I slowed a bit.
It came right into me, and I sounded my air horn. The idiot didn't even look.
As I looked over the stupid 'female' (just because I am trying to be polite, as I could have used something that began with 'b') was talking on her phone.

She didn't miss a beat. She was still talking after she passed me, a smile on her face all the way.

Maybe I should have taken out her expensive car, and her in the process.

 

Did she even stop?
