And, yes, flashing your high-beams within x-amount of feet of another vehicle is actually illegal in many areas. Save it for the a-holes that are coming at you.

Just accept people aren't going to do it the way YOU want them to. Cars flash high beams bus other trucks hell I've even had a cop do it. Whether it's right or not it only blinds are person dumb enough to be staring in the mirror. You know a person may flash their brights so about when you finish the pass get out of the mirror so you don't get blinded you'll still see the flash in your peripheral.
Now you have a fast truck now you should never get blinded because of how quickly you get by a slow truck.

And I have 50w LED spot lights mounted on my sleeper fairings. You blind me, I blind you back. Seems to work well in demonstrating my displeasure.

Totally agree with you but it could be really annoying too if you happen to look in your mirrors at that exactly same time.

I've come to look away right before I put my signal on and come over because I know the blinding high beam flash is coming. I fear I may run into a problem with it one day.. but my eyes are very sensitive to bright lights when its dark out and it really bothers me to get flashed. Megas and LTLs do it most.. which unfortunately are the slowest and most passed.

I dont need permission or my hand held to come over. I made it that far with out his high beams... I think I can make it the rest of the way just fine.

My last 2 trucks had the day time lights where the headlights stay on. I'm always afraid of getting the hood taken off if a driver thinks I gave him the lights. Thankfully, so far, everyone's depth perception has been right on!

Not sure on your truck... before this one I had a 2007 Pete 386 which had daytime lights. I discovered that if you pushed the turn signal arm forward... it would interupt the head lights for 5 seconds or less if you released it sooner.

Also and I dont mean this to sound condesending... but if a truck is passing me and I can see that he's pushing on his governer.. I back off a bit to make sure he doesnt take my nose off. Its not like I cant pass him any time I want if he ends up too slow in front of me.

At night yes, I agree. But during the day, in my opinion, not so much

Wow. So many posts in this thread that made me wish there was a thumbs down option. If you new breeders think its silly don't do it. Who cares. Tail lights is all you'll see from me anyhow. But if you think you're doing anyone any favors by giving the high beam you can take that PeopleComm and turn it sideways and shove it up your cotton candy #####.

I look at it this way. High beams produce between 35,000-50,000 candlepower.

    The sun produces 1,575,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 candlepower.

During the day, sun wins. ;)
